Overview:

A 1.25" commercial grade static dissipative hose available in lengths of 10 foot # 95567 and 16 foot # 95578 supplied with dissipative dust collection adapters with internal dimensions of .750", 1.00"; 1.25", and 1.50". The adaptors are molded in a 55 shore thermo-plastic rubber allowing them to stretch and form to the dust shrouds of your power tools.

• The adaptors are molded in a 55 shore TPE material allowing them to stretch up to 15% larger than the quoted diameter. Concentric crush rings are molded into the interior of each adaptor which expand the diameter and flatten to better grip the dust shroud of your tools. 
• Each adaptor has an air relief feature allowing you to adjust air flow as necessary to match the needs of your power tool and insure air flow to recover debris and protect  your vacuums useful life. 
• Each adaptor 360 degree swivels to help keep the hose from kinking or restricting the free movement of your power tool.

Common questions:

Why might I want a dissipative hose and adapter set?

Fine dust in volume moving in an air stream within the hose can result in a static charge collecting on the exterior of the vacuum hose. Testing has shown if it does not find a path to ground the charge can reach 25,000+ volts. When close to a point to ground the charge can jump distances in excess of a full 1". A dissipative hose supports a path to ground and prevents the building of an excessive charge.

Will a dissipative hose work with my tools and vacuum?

The adapters will connect to major brands of power tools equipped with a dust collection shroud. Palm sanders, miter saws, drills, and routers are commonly equipped with dust shrouds. The hose will connect with premium brands of dust collection vacuums equipped to provide a path to ground from the hose through to the vacuums ground wire. Brands include Festool, Fein, Starmix, Bosch, and Makita.  Most home shop brands like Rigid, Vac Master, Craftsman, Dewalt, and Shop Vac do not offer this path to ground. It can be realized though the hose contacting the floor, incidental contact with you during use, or the use of a drop chain or primary wire to create the ground link when using vacuums without the designed path.
