A Quick Click dissipative commercial hose and adapter solution to reduce or eliminate the risk of static discharge during recovery of fine dust and debris from power tools. A 1.50" commercial crush proof dissipative hose with conductivity measured at 10 to the 8th with smooth interior and optimized flexibility. A set of four dissipative Quick Click adapters with internal diameters .750"; 1.00"; 1.25"; and 1.50" to connect to power tool dust shrouds for source capture of debris. Two lengths of hose available 15' (90362) and 30 foot (90366).

• The adapters have concentric crush rings on the inner diameter designed to flatten, increasing the inner diameter, to better hold to the dust shroud.

Common Questions:

Do I need a dissipative hose for my application?

Debris moving through the interior of the hose deflects off of the hose body which can result in the build of a static charge which accumulates on the surface of the hose. The higher the volume of debris and or the velocity of the air the more accumulated charge. Will normal household dirt likely result in a charge? No. Will dust from a palm sander or similar tools working steadily result in a charge? Yes. Charges exceeding 25,000 volts can be realized.

A dissipative hose and adapters provides a path to ground preventing the build up of a static charge assuming a point of ground is provided. Vacuum brands like Fein, Festool, Starmix, Bosch, and Mirka produce products which offer this path. Many home shop vacuums do not. In such cases a path must be established for the dissipative solution to be realized. This can be done by the dissipative hose contacting a surface like bare concrete, a drop chain, or a specific connection to a point of ground.

Will the Quick Click adapter work with my Dewalt orbital sander which has a dust port measuring 1.60" on the external diameter?

Yes, the 1.50" adapter will stretch to fit female over this dust port.

Compatibility:

The 90362 and 90366 are compatible with major brands of dust collection vacuums including Fein, Bosch, Festool, Mirka, and Starmix. It is compatible with home shop brands like Rigid, Craftsman, VacMaster, Dewalt, Kobalt, and Shop Vac with an inlet measuring approximately 2.25" across which is the most common diameter.
