Overview:
A complete central vacuum air driven accessory solution including air turbine tool for carpets, switch control of the central vacuum electric hose, hard floor brush, ratchet telescopic wand, above the floor cleaning accessories, and storage- transport solutions.
Air turbine tools use the power of the air stream from your central vacuum to spin a turbine which in turn spins a carpet agitating brush to open the carpet fibers to expose embedded dirt and groom the carpet surface.
Select from four optional hose lengths. 96227 (30 foot) 96238 (35 foot); 96249 (40 foot); and 96260 (50 foot).
Features and benefits:
- The 12" wide air turbine tool uses the power of the central vacuums air stream to spin a turbine which in turn rotates the carpet agitator.
- The turbine features a full size brushed agitator increasing its effectiveness in opening the carpet pile and exposing embedded dirt to the vacuums air stream.
- The turbine lays parallel to the floor allows for a low profile tool increasing access under furnishings and beds.
- The 1.375: (1 3/8") crush proof switch control hose optimizes airflow and permits control of the central vacuum at the hose handle.
- The handle rotates 360 degrees reducing wrist strain and permits dropping the hose to the floor to extend under furnishing.
- The hose is highly flexible and light weight. A 30 foot hose weighs less than six pounds.
- A 12" natural fill floor brush is ideal for all hard floor surfaces including wood, tile, polished stone, laminate, vinyl, and sealed concrete.
- A ratchet telescopic wand connects the hose to the floor nozzles. From a fully collapsed length of 24" the wand extends at 1" intervals to a fully extended length of 39".
- This adjustment features allows you to customize the length to your preference.
- A premium natural fill dusting tool for elevated hard surfaces, 13" crevice tool, and 5" upholstery tool with brush strip to groom upholstery address all your above the floor cleaning needs.
- A tool caddie is included that allows you to carry the accessories with you as you clean saving you time and steps.
- A mesh caddie bag collects all your tools for storage and transport and can hang on the hose hanger included along with your hose.
Compatibility:
The central vacuum turbine package is compatible will all major brands of central vacuums installed with pin-jack inlet valves. A pin jack valve can be identified by two small contact points in the throat of the inlet valve. These contact the hose end and carry the circuit to the hose handle permitting the on off control of the central vacuum. Most central vacuums installed after 1990 have this style of inlet. Be aware that if your central vacuum comes on as soon as you open the inlet door the on-off switch control feature will not work with your system.
One additional consideration in the purchase of an air turbine kit. Recently a new style of carpet described as soft carpet due to the density of the carpet pile when combined with the performance of the central vacuum can starve an air turbine of airflow reducing the effectiveness of carpet agitation. If you have concern in this area you may want to consider an electric power nozzle which does not rely on the air stream to create agitation.
