In the Guardair Powerquad specifications we reviewed, the vacuum is equipped with a 2" diameter hose. That’s good news, because it suggests the hose from the vacuum can be connected to the Reach pole set with the appropriate connection method.

  • Your vacuum hose is truly 2" inside diameter (ID) (or confirm the cuff size you’re working with)

  • Whether your hose end is a plain hose end or has a proprietary cuff/quick-connect

  • A range of cleaning nozzles that are not built as a grounded/static-dissipative toolset

What that means in the real world

If your application requires static control, ESD compliance, or grounded tools, then it’s critical that your facility determines whether this system is appropriate for your use case.

For example, in large industrial settings like Cargill or similar operations, it is the end user’s responsibility to confirm suitability and compliance with site safety requirements and procedures.
