Overview:

18" aluminum frame and 79" aluminum telescopic pole combined with two goliath micro-fiber pads targeting the suggested finishing process for collecting fine dry wall and plaster dust prior to painting. Suitable for use in the final step in refinishing concrete floors where fine dust can impact on the surface treatment bonding to the floor surface. The oversized micro-fiber goliath pad makes this an ideal solution for capturing fine dust on sensitive floor surfaces like hardwoods or polished stone in both home and commercial applications. 

Features and benefits:

• The goliath micro-fiber pads measure 20.5" X 7" to insure the pad overlaps the aluminum frame. This overlap allows the pad to move into corners where the ceiling meets the wall without risk of the aluminum frame contacting the wall or ceiling surface. 
• The goliath pad is designed to roll to 90 degrees when contacting a surface making it ideal for cleaning along baseboards or around furnishings without the risk of the frame contacting and marking surfaces. 
• The 18" X 3.75" aluminum frame secures the pad to eliminate the risk of separation. The frame provides added safety against damage to walls with plastic curved bumpers at each edge. 
• The pivoting wand holder is secured with stainless screws insuring a tight fit to the head. The 79" aluminum wand is secured to the frame with a winged nut bolt to prevent unintended separation. 
• Two pads are provided to address large worksites and allow one pad to be cleaned why the second is used reducing down time.
• The 79" fully extended aluminum pole collapses to 42" compressed for easy transport. The pole is designed for heavy and frequent use making it ideal for the intended applications and the pressure necessary for effective capture of fine dust.  

Common question:

What is suggested as best practice when using the pad for capturing plaster dust? 

It is recommended the ceiling and wall be vacuumed using a HEPA vacuum to safely capture all but the finest dust. Use of the micro-fiber is to remove any trace amounts of dust not captured by the vacuuming.  Start first in one corner of the ceiling wiping across the full width of the space making sure to overlap the previous pass by at least three inches. Once the ceiling is complete work from the top of the wall down to the base so any dust not captured is left at the floor for easy clean up. The pad can be sprayed with a fine mist of water to help the process if desired but typically this is not needed as what dust might remain after vacuuming should be very limited. Be careful not to over wet. A mist is all that should be considered.
