A 1.50" Sidewinder commercial vacuum tool set inclusive of a two piece 1.50" wand which when assembled has a 62" over all length compatible with a 15" Sidewinder carpet tool and 15" Sidewinder nylon fill floor brush. Suitable for use as a new or replacement wand and floor nozzle set for commercial backpack vacuums, commercial vacuums dry and wet-dry, and home shop vacuums equipped with 1.50" hose or with a hose having a 1.50" inner diameter hose end.

Common Questions:

With the longer wand do I need a 90 degree hose end to use this product?

No. The principal behind the longer wand is to allow the hose to carry over the shoulder and out of the way during cleaning. Unlike traditional wands where the hose can impede free movement of the floor nozzle during cleaning the Sidewinder puts the hose behind the user where it does not get in the way. The pivoting neck of the Sidewinder and the longer wand allow cleaning under desks and similar while standing comfortably erect.

Can I replace my current tools with this kit to get the productivity benefit from how the tool moves?

Yes. As long as the hose with your vacuum has a 1.50" inner diameter hose end it will be compatible with this Sidewinder solution.

Is the 15" nylon brush suitable for cleaning return air vents above the floor?

Yes the pivoting neck of the Sidewinder floor brush tool makes it ideal for cleaning lateral clean air vents, overhead vents, walls, and the tops of baseboards. The long wand length makes it easy to reach to a height of 10 feet from the floor to clear cobwebs and similar from corners and even ceilings.

Is there any downside to using these tools?

The principal challenge in the use of Sidewinders is adjusting to the cleaning motion appropriate to their use. Push pull is how we all learned to vacuum. The Sidewinder uses a mopping motion which takes a few minutes to adjust to but once you adjust your movement to body rotation rather than the push pull of your arm you will quickly realize the benefits.
