Description
Overview:
The 41730 is a heavy gauge steel mounting system designed to mount both the large and small metal hose reels on the horizontal plane. Mounting on the horizontal plane allows the hose to spool off and be recovered more easily. The platform is mounted to a vertical wall and a steel arm extends 12" from the wall to hold the reel mounting plate. The 12" distance allows even the large reel to rotate freely to face the work being performed.
 
Features and Benefits:
  • The 41730 mounting plate and reel can be rotated through a 180 degree arc and locked into position with a spring loaded locking pin. This feature allows the reel to align with the work reducing stress on the hose and effort in pulling the necessary hose length to accomplish a task.
  • Horizontal mounting makes the recovery handle more accessible to facilitate recovery.
  • In tight spaces like a work truck of remote work van the reel can rotate 90 degrees to face the work and then rotate back for storage when not in use.
  • In commercial spaces where a common vacuum may be servicing multiple work bays as might be found in car dealerships or vehicle service operations the reel can reduce wear and tear on the hose, ensure compact safe storage when not in use, and reduce trip and fall risks.
  • In facilities where a mounting post is centered between bays the reel can rotate to the bay during active use.
  • In wood working or body shops where the smaller reel is being used for dust collection, the horizontal mounting system will increase the effective length of the hose and would permit the reel to be mounted directly above the vacuum to reduce space requirements and safely store the hose when not in use.
  • A great bench-top method for storing, using and recovering hose.
  • Hardware for mounting the reels to the platform is included.
