The curved cradle for the hose features a raised bar to catch and hold the corrugations of the hose preventing them from sliding off unintentionally.
Consider hanging the hook at a height 40-48" from the floor reducing the number of coils necessary to store longer hoses.
Longer and fewer coils make it easier to retrieve and extend the hose for use.
